Wine purchase

For our international clientele we continuously are looking for top wines from Bordeaux and other regions- from single bottle to collections of a few hundred bottles. For more than 20 years we specialized in acquiring wines from private cellars, mainly Bordeaux from 1982 to 2009, but also high class Burgundy, Barolo, Barbaresco and Super Tuscans.

Selling us your wines is easy:

  • You send us your detailed wine list (download PDF  / Word template ) by fax +41.44.919.8823 or email: a.baeggli@cavebb.ch. Smaller offers, up to five different wines, we gladly accept by phone +41.44.919.8822.
  • Shortly after receipt of your list we will quote you the prices. We abstain from a package offer but rather quote each bottle individually. Prices offered are understood for perfect bottles with fill levels into the neck and clean labels (see further explanations...»»).
  • Once you have agreed to the sale, one of our staff will contact you to schedule an appointment. We will pick the wines up free of charge. (Within Switzerland) We set a high value on discretion; hence our company cars are not marked.
  • Our staff will inspect the bottles for their condition and pay you in cash. For smaller quantities we gladly mail you the proper packaging materials so you can safely post them accompanied by your invoice that we will pay immediately upon receipt. Delivery to our cellar in Zumikon is available as well by advanced notification.

Our clientele appreciates the origin of the bottles and we generally do not buy unless they are in perfect condition according to age.

Highest current prices:

  • Beaujolais (Moulin-à-Vent, Brouilly etc.)
  • Wines from Southern France (Languedoc, Roussillon, Banyuls, Bandol etc.)

Our table will give you a general idea of the demand in Bordeaux. Please note that the table does not rate the individual wines, but simply emphasizes on the current market demand. A ***** rated wine will always be sold, whereas a * is and will stay unsold.
